Periodic Test and Inspection

For insurance, health and safety and a requirement of BS7671 (IEE Regulations).

Emergency Lighting

Emergency Lighting installations both stand alone and central battery backup. Quarterly and yearly testing. Testing and maintenance of Emergency Lighting installations as required by BS5266 (IEE Regulations)

Electrical Installation Certificate

NICEIC Certificates are issued on completion of all Electrical Installations carried out by our electrical engineers.

Minor Works

NICEIC Certificates are issued on completion of all Minor Works carried out by our electrical engineers.

Part P

The NICEIC Domestic installers Scheme will enable Gomer to self-certify that their work complies with the national safety standard BS7671. It is designed to satisfy the requirements for Part P, the electrical safety requirement for the Building Regulations for England and Wales .

Portable Appliance Testing (P.A.T.)

Health and Safety is becoming of utmost importance and Portable Appliance Testing is an important part of any Health and Safety Policy.

The Electricity at Work Regulations place a legal responsibility on employers, employees and self-employed persons to comply with the provisions of the regulations and take practical steps to ensure no danger results from the use of portable appliances.

The Electricity at Work regulations 1989 requires electrical appliances and systems to be maintained to prevent the risk of accidents. Recommendations in The Health and Safety Executive Memorandum of Guidance HS(R)25 state that maintenance should be based on a regime of regular inspection and testing by a competent person.

Gomer Can implement a regular programme of maintenance, inspection and testing when portable appliances are used:

• by employees
• the general public
• where appliances are supplied or hired
• where appliances are repaired or serviced
